Thursday 2nd November | Howick Hall Gardens and Arboretum | 6.30pm - 8pm
We invite you to enjoy an introduction to stargazing in the beautiful surroundings of Howick Hall.
Aimed at helping newcomers to stargazing find their way around the night sky, although astronomers of all abilities will enjoy this event.
Working with astronomers from Battlesteads Observatory, the team of experts will guide you around the cosmos and the more recognisable features of the night sky constellations, how to spot planets, and things such as aurorae, star clusters and the Andromeda Galaxy.
No equipment is needed, however you are more than welcome to bring your own red-light head torch and binoculars. If the weather is not great, don't worry as we will have use of the Chinese and Old Dining Rooms.
To book your ticket, please call the estate office on 01665 577285 as places are limited. Tickets £30.00 per person to include hot drinks and cookies too.
